CHAMONIX

 

Description: 

Chamonix Valley is comprised of five major ski areas and is considered the off piste skiing capital of the world. These are Les Grands Montets, Le Tour, Brevent, Flegere, and Les Houches. In addition the Aiguille du Midi accesses the famous Vallee Blanche and glacier ski touring.

Description: 

Les Contamines/Hauteluce is a hidden gem and a surprisingly bigger ski area than one might expect  with a combination of modern high speed chairlifts and fast drag lifts making it an ideal venue for running instructor training courses. It also has lots of great terrain above 1800m making it very snow sure.

nendaz 4-vallées

 

Description: 

Nendaz is perfectly positioned in the heart of the 4 Vallées which is the largest ski area in Switzerland with 410 km of pistes. Nendaz itself has excellent pistes for ski instructor courses with easy access to Siviez which opens up the whole of the 4 Vallées.

saas-fee

 

Description: 

Saas-Fee is a beautiful Swiss village (and like Zermatt is car free). It sits at 1800m and accesses great skiing including the Fee glacier which is open in summer. The Mittelallalin (top station) is at 3,500m. It is another great option for early season courses.

zermatt

 

Description: 

The Swiss town of Zermatt accesses several ski areas including the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Skiing is available winter and summer meaning it is a great location for early season/autumn courses. It also links with the ski area of Cervinia in Italy.

Description: 

The town of Breuil-Cervinia is just over 2000m meaning the skiing is all at very high altitude making it a very snow sure resort with excellent early and late skiing. As there is also access to the Zermatt glacier it is also one of the few remaining summer skiing venues in the European alps.

Appi kogen

 

Description: 

Appi Kogen is famous for its powder snow due to its location, low humidity, and north facing slopes. It has an excellent tree run area. It has a total of 850 acres of skiable terrain.

grandeco

 

Description: 

Although Grandeco is a relatively small resort it has an awesome snow record with powder skiing being available from later November to early May! It is a fantastic beginner resort and ideal for Level 1 ski instructor courses.

Description: 

Rusutsu is Hokkaido’s largest all-season resort and boast 37 runs over two peaks with a great variety of terrain making is a brilliant venue for all levels of instructor training and certification.

TREBLE cone

 

Description: 

Treble Cone is the largest ski area on New Zealand's south island and is one of Rookie Academy's course venues. It offers a fantastic variety of terrain including lots of advanced/expert slopes making it ideal for instructor training and certification courses.
