First aid
The requirement to have a first aid qualification varies around the world with some countries/employers requiring a qualification while others do not. Some gap course providers also include a first aid course as part of their overall program.
However, for any members intending to work in Europe having a current first aid is a requirement. And as part of meeting the requirements of the EU Delegated Regulation EU 2019/907 and completing the Level 4 Professional Ski Instructor having a current Outdoor First Aid qualification is mandatory.
At the PSIE we recommend the following providers who all offer 'outdoor first aid' courses:
World Class Training

WCT offer a range of first aid courses including in person, online (e-Learning), and blended learning. They are widely used by snowsports instructors and snowsport instructor training organisations. They also offer an e-Learning safeguarding & child protection course specially for snowsport instructors.
