stefania rocchi
Stefania works with Sommet et Neige in Nendaz 4 Vallees, Switzerland where she is very involved in the training and development of ski instructors. She has worked as an educator and examiner for the Irish Association of Snowsport Instructors and was a technical demo team member for Ireland at Interski 2023 in Levi, Finland.
naTALIE OUÉdraogo
Nathalie has been chasing the snow across hemispheres for 37 seasons teaching all disciplines, disabled skiers, as well as training instructors. She is now based in Andermatt, Switzerland, has been a L1 course conductor for the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance from 2009 to 2019 and is also currently a national trainer for the French Ski Federation, delivering federal instructor courses since 2016. She is also a 4 time attendee at the Interski Congresses. Her motto is simple : 2 teach is 2 touch lives 4 ever and she takes great pride and responsibility in doing so, giving value to every one of her students and the desire to constantly improve.
Chris oldaker
After completing a degree in Sports Coaching, Chris embarked on a journey in ski instruction in 2009, starting in Austria. Since 2012, Chris has been based in Engelberg, Switzerland, with 5 additional winters spent at Mt Hutt, NZ. A proud representative of IASI at Interski in both 2019 and 2023, Chris is deeply committed to sharing a passion for skiing and teaching and uses this to unlock people’s full potential. With a dedication to ongoing learning and development, Chris is eager to inspire and guide others.
raph revah
Raph began his journey in ski teaching in Verbier, Switzerland, and after 17 seasons coaching skiers of all abilities in Italy, Austria, Japan and Canada he now manages Supreme Ski and Snowboard School in Switzerland. Raph has been involved in training and mentoring instructors for over 10 years, he is an educator for IASI, holds the Swiss Brevet Federal, and was a proud member of the 2023 Interski demo team for Ireland. He is devoted to bringing his expertise to help instructors of all levels reach their goals in a fun and friendly environment.
Jamie Kagan
Jamie is the co-founder of Sommet et Neige which is based in Nendaz 4 Vallees. He has been Head of Education for the Irish Association of Snowsport Instructors, a trainer for the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance and now also a trainer for the Professional Ski Instructors of Canada. He is a 2 time technical demonstrator at Interski and demo team coach for Ireland.
Reilly mcglashan
Reilly has been teaching skiing since 2002, completing 38 winters so far. He has represented Australia at two Interski congresses, in 2011 and 2015. He is fully certified in both the USA and Australia, and is also a certified race coach. Currently, Reilly is involved in instructor training for Rookie Academy NZ and the PSIE. As the co-founder of Projected Productions, Reilly has contributed to the creation of the most comprehensive collection of ski techniques available in an online format documenting ski progressions from various countries and skiers. His career has taken him around the world, running ski instructor training programs, camps and catering to high-end clientele in parts of the globe such as the USA, Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina, and China. Additionally, Reilly is the owner and founder of Hokkaido Collective, a premium ski school in Japan that caters to elite, high-end clientele. An ambassador and product design tester for Original + skis. An ambassador for Carve Sports ski wear.
joshua-duncan smith
Josh is a fully qualified ski instructor, holding the top certifications from Italy (AMSI), Professional Ski Instructors of Europe (PSIE), Canada (CSIA), Ireland (IASI), and New Zealand (NZSIA). He is also a current Demo Team member and senior examiner for the NZSIA. Josh also holds the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation (CSCF) development level race coach and the CTT Euro speed and mountain security tests. His work throughout the year consists of private lessons where he teaches a wide range of guests of all abilities while also training skiers to attain their maximum potential and certifying them for the Rookie Academy, PSIE, and NZSIA. Josh is a global ambassador for Carve Sport Korea, Zip Fit, Fischer, Komperdell, and SHRED optics.
jonny seale
Jonny started his ski career in Austria and became fully qualified as a Staatlich Geprüfte Skilehrer. Which includes the CTT Euro speed and mountain security tests. He also went on and gained his Ski Führer which allows him to guide ski touring and free riding in Austria and some countries around the world. Jonny has worked as a trainer within the Austrian system for Ski Instructor Academy and the WSSV. He has worked all over Austria teaching every level from beginners to guiding off piste and loves the adventure of skiing.
sophie chen
Sophie is a fully certified instructor, holding her trainers qualification for the NZSIA. She is a member of the current demo team. She is a trainer for the Rookie Academy, Treble Cone during the New Zealand winter. For the Northern hemisphere winter she’ll be in Japan teaching privates and Rookie’s camps.
bea stephenson
Bea started her career in New Zealand in 2013 and is now a fully qualified Ski Instructor from NZSIA. She has since worked as a Trainer and Instructor in Switzerland, Canada, Japan and is currently based in New Zealand working with the Rookie Academy. Bea also has experience guiding in Japan and especially loves to spend her time exploring off piste terrain all over the world. This Northern hemisphere she will be back in Hokkaido with work consisting of private lessons, guided tours, Rookie camps and Instructor training.
jay pattinson
From humble beginnings on a dry slope in south west England, Jay has honed his passion for sharing skiing across ten resorts in four continents and counting! Having been employed in training roles since 2012 Jay has lead sessions in Canada, USA, Japan and his home of Cardrona/Treble Cone, New Zealand. As an active examiner for the NZSIA and Rookies Jay is kept busy through the southern winter and in the northern winter Niseko, Japan provides a mix of training, guiding and examining.
derek tate
Derek has spent a great deal of his ski teaching career training and examining ski instructors delivering courses for Snowsport Scotland, the British Association of Snowsport Instructors, and the Irish Association of Snowsports Instructors. He is also a 5 time attendee at the Interski Congresses and 3 times as Ireland's delegation leader.
annina de biasi
Annina grew up in Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites, where she began skiing at the age of 3. With a strong background in ski racing, Annina competed in FIS events until she turned 20. She is a fully certified Italian ski instructor and trainer for The Rookie Academy. Her career has taken her across the globe, working in renowned ski destinations including Cortina, Australia, Japan, and New Zealand Annina currently splits her time between working as a ski instructor and trainer for Hokkaido Collective in Japan and as an independent ski instructor in the Dolomites in addition to being a trainer for the Rookie Academy. Her passion for the outdoors and love for the mountains drives her dedication to sharing her knowledge and skills with others. Annina is an ambassador for Original +, a ski company based in Austria who makes custom made skis.
nick browett
Nick began his snowsports career in 2014 after completing a Level 1 & 2 gap course. Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, he now calls Wanaka home. Nick spent his first nine seasons working at Cardrona/Treble Cone Ski School, where he quickly advanced through the ranks to become an NZSIA Trainer/Examiner. In 2023, he joined the Rookie Academy to work with friends and industry leaders in skiing and training. During the northern hemisphere seasons, Nick has worked in Niseko, Japan, and Northstar, Lake Tahoe, California. His roles have included instructor, trainer/examiner, guide, and assistant director at one of the largest schools in Niseko. While in Tahoe, he expanded his expertise by completing the PSIA-W full certification and trainer qualifications. Throughout a decade of back-to-back seasons, Nick also earned a degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Auckland.
LENA-MAY PERAUDO
Lena is an Italian Maestro di Sci, NZSIA examiner, and a member of the New Zealand demo team, with over two decades of experience in the global ski industry. Born and raised in the Italian Alps, Lena has a strong foundation in competitive ski racing and years of coaching experience. This has taken her across the world, sharing her expertise and love for skiing with athletes, instructors and recreational skiers alike. As any good Italian would, she loves drinking Prosecco, eating good food and not taking life (or herself) too seriously.
harry mcfadden
Harry is an experienced ski instructor and a Licensed Professional Trainer (LPT) with the Professional Ski Instructors of Europe (PSIE). He holds certifications from the New Zealand Snowsports Instructors Alliance (NZSIA), the Irish Association of Snowsports Instructors (IASI), and is a current ISIA Card holder. He has also completed education with the Ski Association of Japan (SAJ) and the British Association of Snowsports Instructors (BASI). Harry's career has taken him to resorts around the world, including Verbier in Switzerland, Niseko in Japan, Northstar in the USA, and several New Zealand resorts such as Cardrona, Treble Cone, Coronet Peak, and The Remarkables. He has taught skiers of all levels and has been involved in training and certifying instructors. As a senior examiner for the NZSIA, Harry plays a key role in instructor training and certification. He has represented New Zealand at the Interski Congress in Bulgaria (2019) and Finland (2023). He is eager to continue advancing ski instructor development and promoting high standards in snowsports education through his work with PSIE.
sam liggins
Sam is a fully qualified ski instructor, holding the top qualification in New Zealand (NZSIA), Professional Ski Instructors of Europe (PSIE) and he is a current member of the NZ tech team. Having qualified as an instructor in New Zealand Sam has worked across North America, japan & NZ and trains a wide range of clients from beginner to advanced, in private and group settings alongside examining for the NZSIA and trainer for the Rookie Academy.
JUSTIN R. FOGARTY
Justin is a highly respected international business leader and co-founder of Flow Performance Club, with a lifelong passion for sports and an unwavering belief in the power of sport to foster long-term personal growth. For Justin, skiing is not only a source of joy but also a transformative experience that impacts life on and off the mountain. He views the mountains as a place to connect with his inner self, finding immense satisfaction in interacting with nature’s powerful forces and achieving a flow state. “Being in the mountains brings me so much joy and balance—it’s a chance to slow down, reconnect, and become fully present,” he says. Credentials : • CSIA (Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance) Level 4 Teacher • CSIA Trainer • Alpine Canada Level 2 Race Coach • PSIE (Professional Ski Instructors of Europe) Licensed Professional Trainer • Former member of the Alpine Canada Board • Recognized with the Volunteer Service Medal from Her Royal Highness the Queen in 2022 for his contributions to alpine skiing in Canada Justin has led multiple ski programs and been involved in organizing World Cups and Olympic events in Canada. Now a permanent resident of Switzerland, he has taught in premier Swiss ski resorts and currently calls Andermatt his home base, where he continues to inspire a new generation of skiers.
